The company was founded by Jim Tremblay Sr. in the early 1990s. Jim worked for the Johns Manville Branch in Albany, NY where he started as a truck driver and worked his way up to superintendent, running as many as 60 men. With great attention to detail and absolute commitment to his job, Jim began to build a reputation for being able to get the job done right and on time. Johns Manville decided to close its Albany Branch. When this happened it left a void that needed to be filled. Jim was just the man to fill that void. Over the years Jims ability to perform at high level spoke for itself and built the strong reputation that Empire Insulation stands for to this day

Twelve years ago, Jim employed his son, Jim Tremblay Jr., and taught him the ins and outs of the insulation business. With great resources at hand and fascination with technology, Jim Jr. helped to keep the company modern and moving with the changes in construction. He started in the field, then moved to the office where he assisted in the estimating, payroll, and the accounting of the business. With the constant help of his father and their trusted office staff, he learned how to become an owner and just an employee. One day maybe one of his two sons will decide to walk in their footsteps.
